Explaining Gaglioppo to people who have never heard of it
Three years of fairs outside Italy taught us the problem is not the wine. It is the first sentence you say while you pour.
Cirò (KR) · Calabria — since 1968
Cirò, on the Ionian coast of Calabria. Gaglioppo and Greco Bianco on sand and iron-rich clay, eight hundred metres from the sea. Hand harvest, concrete and large oak, nothing added beyond sulphites at bottling.

Vineyard —
For six years we have pushed pruning at Sèrrone to late January. Every year someone asks whether that is wise. The short answer is no.
We work with restaurants and wine shops across Italy and with importers in six countries. Terms, formats and lead times are all on the trade page.
The cellar is open by appointment all year, except in September, when we are in the vineyard from dawn. Three visit formats, in Italian and English.
The ledger
Two letters a year: one in March when the vintage is released, one in October when harvest is in. Nothing else.
